Terms and Conditions - 10-Hour Personal Tech Coaching Package

Service Description

The 10-Hour Personal Tech Coaching Package includes a combination of technology coaching, device repair, troubleshooting, and technical support services provided by Family Tech Support. Services may be delivered in-person at client location or remotely via phone/video call as determined appropriate for each specific need.

Payment and Pricing

  • Regular package price $1,500 for 10 hours of service (promotional pricing and discounts may apply)

  • Payment is due in full at time of purchase

  • Hours are non-transferable and non-refundable once services have commenced

  • Package expires 12 months from date of purchase

  • Any unused hours after expiration date are forfeited

Scheduling and Appointments

  • Individual sessions must be scheduled in advance by mutual agreement

  • Minimum session length is 1 hour; time is tracked in 15-minute increments

  • 24-hour notice required for cancellations or rescheduling

  • No-shows or same-day cancellations will result in forfeiture of scheduled time

  • Sessions may be conducted in-person (client's location within Santa Barbara County) or remotely via phone/video call

  • Travel time to client location is not deducted from package hours

Scope of Services

Included Services:

  • Device troubleshooting and repair (computers, tablets, smartphones, printers, etc.)

  • Software installation and configuration

  • Technology coaching and training

  • Cybersecurity education and setup

  • Network and internet connectivity assistance

  • Email and social media setup/security

  • General technology consultation and advice

Excluded Services:

  • Hardware replacement parts (client responsibility to purchase)

  • Services requiring specialized licensing or certifications

  • Data recovery from physically damaged devices

  • Warranty work (should be handled by manufacturer)

  • Emergency or urgent service requests

  • Services outside of standard consumer technology

Limitations and Liability

  • Family Tech Support is not responsible for data loss during service delivery

  • Client is advised to backup important data before any service

  • We are not liable for hardware failures that occur during or after service

  • Maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for services

  • Services are provided "as-is" without warranty of specific outcomes

  • Some technology issues may be beyond our ability to resolve

Refund Policy

  • No refunds available once services have commenced

  • Unused hours may be refunded at our discretion in cases of service provider inability to complete contracted work

  • Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days of purchase

Data Privacy and Security

  • We maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and data

  • Temporary access to client devices/accounts is for service purposes only

  • No client data will be retained, copied, or shared without explicit permission

  • Client passwords and personal information will be kept confidential

Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about technology issues and needs

  • Be present and available during scheduled service times

  • Provide safe working environment for in-person visits

  • Inform service provider of any sensitive or confidential data on devices

  • Follow reasonable security recommendations provided during service

Travel and On-Site Services

  • In-person services available within Santa Barbara County

  • Travel time to client location is not deducted from package hours

  • Client must provide adequate workspace and power access for equipment

  • Additional travel fees may apply for locations outside primary service area

Agreement

By purchasing this package, the client acknowledges they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
